A badge awarded for attendance at the Boys’ School

1900s

Worcestershire County Council awarded badges to pupils who had a good attendance record and the names of the pupils were listed in the log-books and in the local press.  In the Boys’ School log-book on 14th June 1901 there were 33 boys mentioned who had received a medal who had not been absent once in the school year, 1900 to 1901.
This medal is the front of one awarded to Vernon Ward for five years unbroken attendance.
