Drawing of Wollaston Schools, 1984

When it was announced that the old school buildings in the village were to close and the remaining junior pupils moved to the site of Meadow Park Infants’ School, Brian Harper, whose children had attended the school, drew the building.  St James’s Church of England Primary School was formed from the merger of the infants and juniors and the old building remained unoccupied for some time.  It was eventually sold and one end of the building and the new block at the rear were demolished and the rest was adapted and is now used as commercial premises.
