Fisher’s Dairy oder book

1930s

A milk order book provided to his customers by Thomas Fisher from his Bridle Road dairy, from where he traded until 1934. Inside they would indicate their requirements for milk, cream and eggs, which the rounds man would fulfil either there and then or on the next delivery.

Comments

I used to help Mr Fisher with his milk round every Saturday, from his dairy in Ridge Street, between 1955 and 1957. When I arrived on a Saturday morning I was always given a hot cup of milk before we went on his round.
