Foster House

2000s

The schools and headmaster’s house were built in the same style as the Vicarage.  All the headmasters and later the headteachers of the Junior School lived there until Percy Troughton retired in 1974.  Jack Porter who became headteacher already had a home at Stourton so did not need to move.  After some alterations the rooms were used for a range of activities for the pupils.  These included a T.V. room, a library, a room for music lessons and a room for small group work.  The top floor was used for storage by both the school and the P.T.A.
