Walter Darby, who was instrumental in the final disposal of Wollaston Hall and items from it, taken on the occasion his marriage to Caleb Roberts’ daughter Amelia. It was she who sold Wollaston Hall to her husband, and one William Kayley, for £3,000 on 14 December 1926.
