A painting of Wollaston Hall dated 1892.

1890s

Antony Graham’s oil painting of Wollaston Hall, dated 1892, probably gives the best impression of what the building looked like.  All other pictures are black and white photographs.  Here the timber framing is shown in dark brown and the rendering is in a brownish white.  The painting was for the Firmstone family who owned the Hall from 1849 until the death of Henry Onions Firmstone in 1899.
