Gas Lamp Plan 1890

1890s

Wollaston’s Vestry Committee was instrumental in getting the village lit by gas. This plan was produced in 1890, and showed all 50 of the lamps installed to that time. The map’s accuracy is proven by the scratched-out lamp at the bend in Laburnum Street, which was relocated into Wood Street.
