The Vicarage, built in 1863

1880s

The Vicarage was built in 1863/64 and designed by the architect who had designed the schools and was of a similar style.  By the 1950s it was replaced by a modern building but the original wall is still its boundary.  It became the home of all the vicars of Wollaston until Canon Honey lived there when it was demolished.  Since the retirement of Rev Michael Willows there has not been an incumbent in Wollaston and the property is now let.

supplied by: Janet Byard-Jones

Previous: The Reverend George Gilbanks, the first Vicar of Wollaston.

Next: A plaque in the school hall recording the official opening
