Wollaston Hall frontage

1920s

Following Mary Roberts’ death on 31 March 1924, the housekeeper and gardener were kept on at Wollaston Hall, but, as no other members of the family desired to live there, a decision was taken to sell it. This remarkably sharp commercial postcard view of the Hall dates from that period, and shows the building looking a little run down and unloved.
