Canon Honey, Richard Veal, curate and the churchwardens.

1970s

Richard Veal came as curate to Wollaston in 1968 and here he is seen with the two churchwardens, Howard and Fred Taylor and Fred Honey the vicar.  Howard Taylor served as a warden for 30 years, from 1944 to 1974 and his brother, Fred, was elected in 1954, a post he held until his death in 1972.  Howard was the longest serving warden and both wardens were involved in the campaign to raise money for the parish in 1961.
