The Church Choir 1977

The Church Choir in 1977 consisted of 23 members.  This photograph has most members named.  They were from left to right - Front row:- Peter Tomlinson; Chalmers Singleton, (Churchwarden); Canon Honey (Vicar); Cyril Aston, (Churchwarden); Stewart Davies; 2nd row:- Steven Davies; Karen Hayward; Jill Fletcher; Richard Winnall;  Timothy Aston; Jonathan Winnall; Chris Davies; Paul Mountfield; not known; not known; 3rd row:- Michael Reuter; David Tomlinson; Percy Wooldridge; Ray Read; Don Boaler; Richard Whale; Michael Aston; Back row:- Ian Whitehouse; Nicholas Honey; Peter Foxall; Bill Knowles; Clarence Chance, (organist).
David Tomlinson and Michael Aston both went on to be organist and choirmaster; Cyril Aston was the father of Michael and grandfather of Timothy; Peter and David Tomlinson were brothers as were Jonathan and Richard Winnall;  Nicholas Honey was the Vicar’s son.
